It's funny how love can
change your life............... |
|
It sure changed
mine forever.
This is my story, my past as it stands at the moment.
I started dancing when I was 7 years
old and joined an agency at the age of 10. The rest of my childhood was spent doing what I loved, performing.
My big
break came when I was 16 and I somehow landed a notable part in a Broadway musical. . That was a big change for me, moving
to New
York with my family. I spent over a year over there before I met him, an admiring audience member.
He was older than me, about 25 to my 17, and he came to the stage door one night and invited me out for a drink. He
was amazing, gorgeous, so of course I accepted his invitation. We had a great night, he asked me questions about my life as,
in his words ' a Broadway star' and I showed him the bruises from throwing myself around the stage at the directors every
whim. We had a laugh and it wasn't long before we were officially a couple, inseparable.
A little before my 18th birthday
we moved to England, buying an apartment in London together. On my 18th birthday he proposed and I accepted. It was a year of West-End
work and late nights planning the wedding before I learnt his secret.
At the stroke of midnight on my 19th birthday
he embraced me and brought me into a world of blood and art. 'Toreador' he told me 'you are now a member of the Toreador family,
a vampire clan of passion and art'. I had two nights with him before he was chased from the city.
As much as I had
learnt in those two nights, it was not enough for me to survive in this world which I had been thrown into, I had not even
met anyone else since my embrace, so my saving grace came when a 'Friend' of my love who I had met before, Genesius, turned
up on our doorstep claiming that my sire had left my education in his hands, that he was my new mentor. While I was going
mad worrying where my fiancé had disappeared to.
No-one can blame me for shutting the door in his face...........
I
spent 18 months under Genesius' wing, learning all I needed to survive, including self defence in case the identity of my
sire was discovered, although to this day I still don't know all the details of why he was chased out of England. At the end of this time Genesius moved to Necropolis,
New York, a city I was not quite ready to face yet. However
a few months in London with more of Genesius' 'friends' saw me pluck up the courage to follow him, arriving in time to spend
a couple of hours with him before he fled back to London, with the prince's assassins close behind. I guess it was all to
similar to what had happened to my sire, to how I'd been left to depend on Gen, so soon after the sun had set again I was
on a plane back to England, alone once more.
It was 6 more months before I plucked up the courage to visit New York again, this time finding Genesius Primogen of the Toreador
in the same city he was chased out of not that long ago. So I stayed, confident that Genesius could protect me, besides I
needed someone who understood the ins and outs of this city, to tell me who to avoid and who to please.
Approximately 8
years of living in this city with Genesius and his friends has seen me finding a new love, and losing him again, meeting several
new Primogen and Princes, a new job helping with the day to day handlings of Genesius' theatre, Bards Art, not to mention
making several new friends, including one of those afore mentioned Primogen, Olivia Hart, even being asked to be a bridesmaid
at her wedding. Genesius keeps himself to himself, and I don't see much of him, in fact the theatre keeps me busy enough I
don't see much of anyone.
And that is the story of my life and unlife so far, all summed up neatly, pity life can't
be so neat, which leaves me with one thing to say.
I told you love could change your life................ |
